Ouch. Just ouch. No no NO to MT; Crow is meh.
I'm still looking around but I want someone that will use our guys to their strengths.

Wow looks like Patrick Roy is back in the running, my #1b fav player of all-time, a passionate, arrogant, driven, hard working, winner. Bring him on www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=397361

My concern is that he'll me another MT1 and that his ego will be too big for the team. Maybe he's grown beyond that -- I'm just not sure.

...Eric Veilleux or Gallant would be an off the board pick which would be interesting...

Eric Veilleux, I'm not impressed with him winning with a stacked group of juniors, he has much more to prove to me at the pro level. I'm honestly leaning towards Roy or Crawford at this time, is Carbo in the mix at all?

Carbo would be fantastic IMO. Not sure that is a possibility but well-respected locally so should keep the media off him for awhile, I had heard respected by the players and no doubt learned quite a bit the first time around.

Not sure that is a possibility but well-respected locally so should keep the media off him for awhile, I had heard respected by the players and no doubt learned quite a bit the first time around. I know Gorges and a few of the other players weren't fans of Carbo as he had a closed door policy, it was Muller who kept that team together and was the communicator. I doubt Carbo learned much as he seems like the arrogant unbending type to me, his smugness directed at the referees after almost every penalty got them nowhere. Having said that they had a pretty good season when he was there. What about Carbo assisting Roy?

Well according to TSN.ca and Darren Dreger it's Michel Therrien as head coach. Habland is not happy, but I'm willing to give him a chance, for a season, I'm really hoping its only a 2 year deal max!

MstinkinT. time to start sighing already.
Hopefully he learned from his first stint here and from his time in Pittsburgh . . . but if he couldn't do anything with that team what can he do with this[/] one?
At least he plays the young guys and doesn't sit them at the first mistake to play the vets who constantly make mistakes.

After watching the press conference today and giving it a good 12 hours to sink in, i'm unhappy about this. I wanted Hartley or Roy, they both exude winning and leadership. Therrien reminds me of the dorky annoying kid that had rich parents or something, it's like you don't really believe he ever deserves to be a head coach in the NHL.
I'd have taken Crawford before him also. I have to wonder if Roy was offered the head coaching, but didn't like what he heard from Bergevin and co. and I have to wonder, because Patrick has won more than the whole front office combined times 10.
Did we ever find out if it was a 2 or 3 year deal?
