Hartley is supposedly also talking with Calgary; thoughts are going from "it's basically a done deal" to "hold your horses" -- and that's on TSN! I just want someone with a little bit of fire in his belly, I couldn't take someone like Martin again.

Looks like you're right, Marc Crawford and Michel Therrien are still in play, can't say i'm a big fan of either. Crow doesn't know how to coach team defence at all, I saw it in Vancouver for years, and Therrien I don't believe is overall a very smart guy. Would rather have Claude Julien. tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=397133

Crawford and Therrien are not what the Habs need.
I'd rather someone out of left field! Bergevin will pick the guy that best fits what direction he wants our team to go and how to get there. I just hope it isn't Crow or Michel.

To be honest as far as Crow goes I think he is one of the best coaches of offense and scoring in the past 10-15 years. His teams are almost always right at the top of the league in scoring, the Canucks lit it up when he was at the helm, the Avs scored a ton also. What if they bring in Larry Robinson (I know we're all dreaming of the day when he is back with us) and maybe an old ex player who was a great grinder as assistants and let Crow release the hounds on offence? Or will the gap be too much between the forwards and d?
Therrien can go far far away, I don't want that re-tread!

I just want someone with a little bit of fire in his belly, I couldn't take someone like Martin again. If it's fire you want Crow will do the job for you Franko. Although today I was pondering his reign here in Vancouver, and I recall him being very very biased towards the vets, the last year of the West Coast Express line when they were really struggling he would not play the Sedins even though they, with my eyes, were much more effective. That worries me as our team is very young and we're in a rebuild type mode right now.

Or will the gap be too much between the forwards and d? Robinson will not take on the position of coach, period -- unless things have changed mightily in the past little while. Great assistant, though, on the right team. The question is if management is going to hire the assistants or let the eventual coach do it. Couldn't agree more.

I recall him being very very biased towards the vets I've seen that too many times already.
